The Last Post

I have decided to end this blog. We're here now, and settled in. The last piece of the jigsaw was really put into place with my RN qualification and new job. I'm running short of amusing Texas observations, probably because it all seems pretty normal to us now. I no longer feel qualified to make cross-cultural commentary....

BBCAmerica keeps us up-to-date with The Rugby and Jeremy Clarkson's latest antics and we seem to have adjusted to the broad Texas voice overs in the local TV commercials here. I have been meaning to run Google Analytics on this blog and see how many people are actually reading it, but I want to thank everyone who has commented and kept up via email and FB.

I am writing another blog about our garden here in Austin. It is very gardening focussed, with lots information on specific plant varieties, boring essays on composting and soil pH, and accounts of attempts at biological pest control (my friend is in the market for a rat snake to keep in her garden). You probably won't like it. But if you want to take look, you can check it out at www.thetrug.com and tell me what you think.
